Gary Rhodes's Signature Afternoon Tea

Although I had a bad experience a year back at Rhodes Mezzanine for serving cold main courses for dinner, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to try Gary's afternoon tea.

Fortunately, I was totally pleased; we were warmly welcomed, seated promptly in a nice table by the piano. Everything was perfect that afternoon, and food was SUPERB and plentiful!
 

Finger Sandwiches (Cucumber creme faiche, Quile's egg, Smoked salmon, Lemon chicken, and Roast beef)

Special savoury of the day (Cream cheese, onion and herb croque monsieur & Duck and cranberry pasties)

Roast beef cooked to perfection!

Cream cheese croque monsieur was so good!

Homemade Scones - wasn't my favorite

Red berry Eton mess - Yummy

Warm raspberry buttered crumpets - Nothing could be more British!

Cakes (Warm honey Dundee cakes, Chocolate muffins, Lemon & Bluberry cakes, and finally Victoria Sponge)

All cakes were perfectly baked

a special complementary treat - mini homemade creamy strawberry ice-cream cones

No, ice-cream wasn't the only treat - Thanks Rhodes for the generosity!

Oj Says: Definitely one of my fav afternoon teas in Dubai, but be careful that’s plenty of food!

Overall Experience: Happy, like REALLY HAPPY!

The Lounge – Afternoon Tea

The Lounge – One&Only The Palm – West Crescent, Palm Dubai
So, for the love of One & Only the Palm - I paid "The Lounge" 3 visits so far, ordering scones every time I'm there hoping they'll improve! My last visit was few days back. Sadly, there isn't any improvement (very doughy, not buttery and flakey like they should be) But then the Raspberry Macaron is just delicious (The texture is what I believe real macarons should be, a slight crunch with a chewy center)
One main issue I face every time I'm there is the very slow service. Besides, the waiters/waitresses are not well-trained.

Oj Says: Scones are terrible, but that won't stop me from going back. I just love the place!

AT.MOSPHERE – The Lounge

AT.MOSPHERE – The Lounge – the 122nd-floor of Burj Khalifa
I am often asked which is my favorite afternoon tea in Dubai, and to be fair enough - I've tried over 14 places so far and honestly speaking none has reached the quality that AT.MOSPHERE Lounge serves. Yes, it might one of the most expensive afternoon teas but you'll be visiting the best location in town and will be served the finest quality of food and tea.

High Tea Onboard Bateaux Dubai

Bateaux Dubai – Bur Dubai side of the Dubai Creek

Warm welcome, refreshing complimentary juice, unique atmosphere, good music and the best view.
The boat took off and afternoon tea was served. Unfortunately, food was awful!  Dry bread, really bad mini pastries/desserts and very poor service!
I had way higher expectations on food quality - It's sad!

 

Oj Says: Maybe you should have lunch or dinner instead!

Afternoon tea at Fauchon

Salam all,

This is my first post YAAAY! *lil dance of happiness*
I'll be mainly posting much pictures and little text, will be rating food and overall experience too.
I'd like to hear others reviews and ratings as well.
so foodies, let's talk food!

Exclusively at Fauchon - Mall of the Emirates one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had in Dubai, a selection of fresh sandwiches and delicate bite-sized pastries. Served daily from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
